Sustainable Communities Pilot Manager
Tyronda “Ty” Simpson is a Pilot Manager on Fannie Mae’s Sustainable Communities team, leading the planning and execution of a portfolio of pilots that strive to increase the supply of affordable housing tied to jobs, education and/or healthcare. She works closely with Fannie Mae business sponsors and Innovation Challenge contract awardees to ideate and implement creative solutions to reaching their goals, most notably through relationships, problem solving, research and analytics. Prior to joining the team, Tyronda led a series of change management initiatives at Fannie Mae where she trained, coached and developed executives and their teams about the company’s new ways of working. She also supported Fannie Mae’s Housing Access, Affordable Housing, and Duty to Serve strategic initiatives by assisting with homeownership counseling programs, product enhancement tactics and exploratory research to address the needs of underserved markets. Tyronda actively volunteers as a Change Ambassador at Fannie Mae and as an Advisory Board for the Jackie Robinson Foundation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Lafayette College and a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University.
