Florida Housing Coalition
Benjamin Toro-Spears has an extensive background in affordable housing and community development, real estate finance, and data management. Prior to joining the Florida Housing Coalition, Ben worked for Enterprise Community Partners, a national tax credit syndicator and community development intermediary. In that role, Ben facilitated company-wide strategic planning, conducted geospatial analyses, and assessed the impacts of housing and community development activities across the nation. In his role for the Coalition, Ben provides training to local governments, nonprofit housing developers, and their partners on compliance with affordable housing program regulations, assists local government planning efforts, and conducts quantitative analyses. He also develops spatial analyses for the Coalition and assists with data collection and statistical analysis for policy documents and housing needs assessments. Ben earned a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Maryland, with a focus on affordable housing and economic development.
