Ending Homelessness Among Youth and Young Adults Forum

On a single night in 2018, 36,361 unaccompanied youth were counted as homeless. Of those, 89 percent were between the ages of 18 to 24. Youth have often experienced trauma and family conflict leading them to a homeless crisis. This forum will bring together the national, state, and local community experts to discuss how to prevent and end youth homelessness.  National experts from the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness and A Way Home America will talk about the federal perspective on ending youth homelessness and how local communities are successfully working on this important issue. Local communities will discuss participating in a 100-Day Challenge and how that helped move the needle on youth homelessness in their community. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from an expert panel discussing strategies, guidance, and innovative solutions to make homelessness rare, brief, and one-time among youth in our communities.
