Long-Term Compliance and Monitoring of Federal and State Funded Projects

This workshop focuses on HUD programs: explaining the uses of CBDG funding and making sure you are prepared for your upcoming HUD monitoring visit. Grantees who are recipients of federal funds through the Department of Housing and Urban Development must comply with specific program requirements.  This workshop will help you prepare for your monitoring visit, improve your policies and procedures for program compliance, and teach you best practices to improve your program performance. Hear from HUD staff on the most recent monitoring findings and concerns and how to best prepare for your upcoming monitoring visit. Every year the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development provides millions of dollars to cities, counties, and the state across Florida through Community Development Block Grants. These grants can be spent on variety of economic and community development opportunities, including affordable housing. This workshop talks also about the ways CBDG funds can be a central part of your affordable housing strategy.
